I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. If you are visiting the area this week, I hope you are enjoying this absolutely gorgeous weather. Black Friday here consists of watching Santa come in on his shrimp boat and shopping at the local stores in Apalachicola. A perfect way to spend your Thanksgiving weekend. This is just about my favorite holiday with all the good smells in the house from cooking the turkey, dressing and pumpkin pie. We will have a very quiet holiday with just our son and cats but that is fine by me. We are blessed to be living here and having our son close by.
Sales activity for the month of October was still on the slow side with just 30 properties sold. Throughout the area there were sales of 12 single family homes, 14 vacant lots and 4 condo/townhomes. St. George Island had the most activity with 16 properties sold – 8 single family homes, 6 vacant lots and 2 condo/townhomes. In Carrabelle there were 10 properties sold – 4 single family homes, 4 vacant lots and 2 condos. In Eastpoint there were 4 vacant residential lots sold. There were no properties sold in Apalachicola for the month of October. Sales prices ranged from $2,500 for a 1 acre bay front lot Plantation lot (Lot was not buildable) to $1,122,500 for a 4 bedroom/4 and 2 1/2 bath gulf front home in Sunset Beach on St. George Island.
