FORGOTTEN COAST SALES UPDATE – AUGUST 2019

Fall is almost here according to the calendar and hopefully the temperatures will feel like fall soon. It has been the hottest summer we have had since moving here 17 years ago. I am ready for those wonderful October days of temperatures in the low 80’s and no humidity.

Sales activity throughout St. George Island, Apalachicola, Carrabelle and Eastpoint dropped somewhat for the month of August with 41 total sales – 15 single family homes, 3 town home/condos, 19 residential home sites and 3 commercial properties. Carrabelle saw the most activity with 16 total sales – 6 single family homes, 3 town homes/condos, 6 residential home sites and 1 commercial building. St. George Island had 12 total sales – 4 single family homes and 8 residential home sites. Apalachicola had 9 total sales – 5 single family homes, 2 residential homes sites and 2 commercial properties. Eastpoint had 4 total sales – 3 residential home sites and 1 commercial building. Sales prices ranged from a low of $18,000 for a lot in Gramercy Plantation in Eastpoint to $1,875,000 for a Plantation for sale by owner gulf front 3 bedroom/4 bath home with private pool.
