Ty first visited the Forgotten Coast in 2022 and fell in love with the untouched beauty and rare preservation of “Old Florida.” Ty grew up in the small, Appalachian Mountain community of Gruetli Laager, Tennessee and immediately appreciated the Forgotten Coast’s close-knit community of hard-working, friendly people who enjoy the good life that thorough historical preservation, valuable wildlife, and easy water access allow. With his partner and two mini-dachshunds, Ty relocated to Eastpoint, FL in December of 2022 and purchased a home with the assistance of the Forgotten Coast Real Estate Specialist, Mary Seymour. Fueled by his passion of homes, the Forgotten Coast and assisting people with life-changing decisions, Ty logically obtained his Florida Sales Associate License and began learning under his broker and mentor, Mary. While attending real estate school and studying for his license, Ty worked at the Piggly Wiggly on St. George Island for a year, locally known as “The Blue Pig.”

With a B.S. in Recording Industry, Music Business from Middle Tennessee State University, Ty’s background in administration and marketing/brand development has led to impressive results, helping to increase sales inquiries by 20% during his role as a Senior Living Advisor. Ty implemented business strategies to maximize tenant satisfaction and reduce vacancies – resulting in a 92% or more average occupancy rate at the properties he managed. His success in these roles made for a seamless transition to real estate, where he’s able to apply his meticulous attention to detail daily.

Specializing in long-distance real estate representation and helping first-time homebuyers, Ty is passionate about helping clients navigate the exciting journey of buying or selling homes. As a member of the Apalachicola Area Historical Society, Ty also has a passion for historical preservation and promotion of the area’s history. Regardless of the need, Ty strives to demonstrate the highest level of integrity and commitment – while also bringing a little bit of fun to each transaction.
