Happy October! October is my favorite month here on the Forgotten Coast. The temperatures are usually in the high 70’s to mid 80’s with lots of sunshine. It is the perfect time to plan a visit to the area and enjoy the slower pace after the busy tourist season. Hope you can plan a trip soon.
Sales activity for the month of September was up slightly with 44 total sales – 21 single family homes, 4 condo/town homes, 1 mobile home, 16 residential home sites and 2 commercial land sales. St. George Island saw the most activity with 17 total sales – 9 single family homes, 1 town home in 300 Ocean Mile and 7 residential home sites. Apalachicola had 11 sales – 7 single family homes, 1 condo and 3 residential home sites. In Carrabelle there were 10 total sales – 4 single family homes, 2 condos, 1 mobile home and 3 residential home sites. Eastpoint had 6 total sales – 1 single family home, 3 residential homes sites and 2 parcels of commercial land. Sales prices ranged from a low of $15,500 – 2 vacant home sites – 1 in St. James Bay for $15,500 and also a bank owned auction property in Magnolia Bay which sold for $15,500. The highest priced property sold was 3 bedroom/3 bath Plantation gulf front home which sold for $1,600,000.
